Ankle Issues

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I can't believe May starts tomorrow...2012 is FLYING by, seriously.

A little less than 2 months until we move (or staying here is an option too I suppose haha)! I honestly cannot believe we're packing up again and on to the next city so soon! I just wish we knew where we were heading! There have been rumors floating around on what some of the options are but we don't know anything official yet. I am just hoping and praying we are lucky enough to snag a place where Andy has "shore duty"...aka he wouldn't be linked to a ship. Also hoping he doesn't have to go FMTB...aka work for the Marines, because that definitely ups the chances of deployment! We're just trying to be patient and hope for the best, and trust that whatever happens is meant to be.

Anywhoooo I don't have anything exciting to report to you all. I wrapped up my school work which was a relief! Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle BAD on Friday while running with the dog :( The little rascal was trying to play and ran in front of me causing me to trip (I do have the worlds weakest ankles too, which didn't help my case!). I got a nice scrape on one of my knees and a nice sprained ankle on the other leg! I called Andy freaking out because I knew I couldn't walk back to the car, and luckily they let him leave work to come help me! I wasn't able to put any weight on it Friday but I can put weight on it now, so I just hobble around haha. I've been stuck inside with my foot up since Friday and am going INSANE. I'm too active of a person to be stuck on the couch 24/7. The swelling has gone down a bit now but some bruising has started. We still don't think anything is broken though, THANK GOD! So for now, I'm banned from running and yoga, SHOOT.
This is my life for now, and don't worry, we now have normal ice packs! ;)

Andy's best friend Greg is coming Thursday-Monday to come visit us and I'm hoping I'm all healed  up by then! We are excited to have a visitor and show him a San Diego good time :) We have lots of plans and I'm excited for a fun weekend ahead of us!

Well that's all I have for now folks! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Our little baby :) even if she's partly at fault for hurting her  momma!

Baseball weekend

Hi friends, hope everyone's week is off to a good start!

I wrap up my online courses tomorrow so I'm going to be back to having tons of free time until I start back up in July. It's so great to see all my friends wrapping up their final weeks of college! CONGRATS TO YOU ALL! It's so fun to watch us all growing up and becoming adults. I will be joining the graduated world at some point, I'm just taking a slower path :) I mean, I did "graduate" yoga teacher training with my 200RYT ;)

Anywho, this past week flew by. We did have a chance to have some fun over the weekend by going to the Padres game! The field is a short 10-15min walk from our place, which was awesome. We had AWESOME seats because the couple we went with are big Phillies fans and wanted to be by their dugout. It was great to add another ballpark to the list of ones I've see a game at! Although it was semi weird for Andy and I since it was two teams playing that we didn't care about. During all the cheers, Andy would just yell out "GO TWINS." Once a Twins fan, always a Twins fan :) (even if they aren't too good this year)
Petco Park is actually very similar to Target Field at home!

Outside the field is BEAUTIFUL at night w/ fountains and lights :)
No big plans for this next week. And no, we haven't heard where we are going yet. I swear my mom asks me every time we talk :) It technically still could be another month until we find out, we're just hoping they tell us earlier than that! I think we both are hoping that they give Andy a good amount of days to move, so we can use that time to take a trip home. It would be nice to see family and all our friends at home for a bit :) but who knows!

That's all for now folks, have a wonderful last week of April!

Low Key Week

Hi friends! Sorry I'm posting so late, just remembered that it's my day to blog :)

Nothing too exciting to report. Still waiting on the list of places we could be moving. Hopefully I'll be able to report more news on that soon! I did learn last Monday that I was summoned for jury duty...in Minnesota. That would happen to me while we are stationed NOT in Minnesota! I had to send in a copy of Andy's orders to prove I'm not in MN, so I'm hoping they'll let me off the hook.

It was a fairly low key week last week. Andy's rack mate from boot camp was here in San Diego for a few hours while his ship was docked so we met up with him and had dinner. It was great to finally meet the guy I heard so much about in letters back then! We also taught Layla how to "shake" last week, she's a smart one ;) We had a low key weekend too, Friday night was stormy so we stayed in and Andy made me "practice" my beer pong skills haha! Sat & Sun were much nicer so we spent those outside, ran errands and caught a movie. I did introduce Andy to a yummy breakfast place I'd gone to with my dad, Hash House A Go Go. They have HUGE and I mean HUGE portions, all farm fresh food and amazing mimosas and bloody Mary's.

This is my last week of school work for my first term at ASU, and boy did that go fast. Still not sure how soon I'll be able to graduate, still need to speak to my department head...oops! It'll be nice to have a few weeks of no school work :) it's warming up here in San Diego and I'm ready to soak up this weather! I've been taking Layla on daily run/walks at the park now that it's nice everyday!

Nothing big happening this week, just the same ol' stuff! Hoping to catch a Padres game soon since we live SO close to the ballpark. Also can't wait for Greg, Andy's best friend to visit us in two weeks!

And for good measure, I'll leave you with a picture of our baby:
She was watching TV with us :)

Flower Fields

And it's Monday once again! The past week flew by, hope it did for you too!

Life continues to just go on as normal down here in Cali. Andy works, I do school/housework/errands...haha seems normal to me! We had a good weekend though, full of running errands together, relaxing, and shopping. We did make the 35 minute drive north to the city of Carlsbad to go look at their flower fields. I've been dying to go but we've been waiting til most fields would peak. And boy oh boy was it GORGEOUS! Rows upon rows of ranuculous flowers, and all in beautiful colors. There were a few other spectacular "gardens" as well. After working at a floral shop for 5 years...I was in heaven! Only downside was that it was "kids day," which we didn't realize until we were there and saw how packed it was, and how many little ones were running around! I'll post photos at the end of this post for you all to see (even though pictures do not do justice at all!)

Yesterday marked SIX MONTHS of us being married. I cannot believe how fast time flies, our life is going to flash by if time keeps moving this way! Yesterday also marked a year since Andy's Easter/April Fools themed proposal :) it's so fun to see how much has happened in the past year. I am so thankful to have a loving husband by my side to enjoy this crazy thing called life!

I'm cutting this blog post short because I have to get going to the grocery store, today is my first day trying out a big shopping trip armed with coupons! :) I promise I won't turn into an extreme couponer though!
